The Los Angeles Dodgers evened the series at two games apiece, beating the Brewers 2-1 in 13 innings. The game lasted more than 5 hours, ending well after 1 a.m. Central time — leaving just 13 hours until the start of Game 5.

Cody Bellinger singled home the winning run in the 13th inning, lifting the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 2-1 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday night and tying the NL Championship Series at two games apiece.

Bellinger grounded a 3-2 pitch from Junior Guerra into right field, scoring Manny Machado, who slid home and touched the plate with his left hand to beat the tag and end a thriller that took 5 hours, 15 minutes.

The Dodgers struck out 17 times; the Brewers fanned 15 times.

With one out, Machado had a broken-bat single to left and went to second on Guerra’s wild pitch.

Bellinger, who entered as a pinch hitter in the sixth, also had the defensive play of the game. He made a diving catch on his belly of a ball hit by Lorenzo Cain leading off the 10th.

It will be a quick turnaround. Game 5 is Wednesday afternoon at Dodger Stadium, with Wade Miley going for the Brewers against fellow lefty Clayton Kershaw. First pitch is at 5:05 p.m. The game can be heard on 98.3 and AM1100, WISS.

After six weeks in sunny Arizona, the Milwaukee Brewers will head north of the border to close out their 2019 spring training schedule.

The Brewers are scheduled to face the Toronto Blue Jays March 25 and 26 at Olympic Stadium in Montreal. Tickets go on sale Friday at 11 a.m. CT.

It’/s a return to the stadium for the Brewers, who made yearly trips there to play the Montreal Expos before the Expos became the Washington Nationals in 2005. The Brewers last played the Expos in Montreal on May 20, 2004.

Following the series, the Brewers will have a day off before returning to Milwaukee to begin the regular season March 28 against the St. Louis Cardinals.
