Gio Gonzalez will start for the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 1 of the NL Championship Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday night.
The Brewers have chosen Wade Miley to start in Game 2 on Saturday, meaning that Milwaukee will open up the NLCS with two straight lefties. Right-hander Jhoulys Chacin will go in Game 3 on Monday in Los Angeles.
Brewers manager Craig Counsell announced his rotation on Thursday.
Gonzalez was 3-0 with a 2.13 ERA in five starts for the Brewers after being acquired in a deal with the Washington Nationals.
The Dodgers have already picked ace left-hander Clayton Kershaw as their starter for the opener, but have yet to announce the rest of their rotation.
First pitch is at 7:09 tonight and the game can be heard on AM1100 and 98.3FM.

The Packers were back on the practice field on Thursday getting ready for the Monday night game at Lambeau Field against the San Francisco 49ers. Wide receivers Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison saw limited participation, after missing the Lions game. Allison is out of concussion protocol but is bothered by a hamstring injury as is Cobb. Aaron Rodgers and tight end Jimmy Graham sat out of practice nursing knee injuries.
The Packers are focusing on putting on more points on the scoreboard. They’re averaging 23 points per game but have been just average in the red zone. In 16 trips inside the 20 yard line which ranks in the top half of the league, the Packers have scored only eight touchdowns.
