Close Call For Winnebago County Squads
Winnebago County Sheriff’s deputies had a close call early last Sunday morning while assisting a vehicle that went into the ditch on State Highway 76 in the Town of Clayton. Deputies were watch traffic while the vehicle exited the ditch, but another motorist hit one squad car which pushed it into the back of another squad. One deputy was standing in front of the two squads but escaped injury. A State Trooper arrested the 17-year-old driver who struck the squad for drunken driving. Three 16-year-old passengers in the vehicle were also cited for underage drinking. Dashcam video of the incident is posted on the Sheriff’s Facebook page.

The baskets were delivered Tuesday. UW Med Flight transports patients from traffic accidents and other rescue calls from the scene to area hospitals.
Baby Jesus Abandoned In Fondy
As history tells us Baby Jesus isn’t supposed to arrive for a couple more weeks, but a likeness of him showed up early in Fond du Lac. A three-foot figurine was left abandoned on the porch of a home on 12th Street. It didn’t belong to the homeowner who turned it over to police. Police say no one has come forward to report the main piece of a Nativity scene missing.
