Waupaca County Squad Car Hit By Drunken Driver

After hitting a Sheriff’s squad car in Waupaca County Saturday a driver was arrested for a fourth drunken driving offense. It happened about 7:30 that evening on Highway 22. The driver failed to stop for a stop sign at Symco Road and hit the deputy’s squad. No one was injured. It was the driver’s fourth OWI offense in the last five years. It’s the second time in just over a week a Waupaca County Sheriff’s car has been hit by a drunken driver. A post on the Sheriff’s Facebook page asks drivers to plan ahead, be safe, and if you drink do not drive.
