Oshkosh Police Investigating Second Child’s Death

Oshkosh Police are investigating the death of a 3-year-old girl. They received a call about 7:30 Friday morning for a medical call in the 1600 block of Sanders Street. When officers arrived they found the girl who was already dead. No other details were released about the incident.

Kiel Man Sentenced For Tampering With Johnsonville Sausage

A Federal judge Thursday sentenced a former employee of Johnsonville Sausage to more than four years in federal prison for putting foreign objects in sausages while he worked at the company in Sheboygan Falls. Twenty-eight-year-old Jonathan Tilman Lane of Kiel will be on supervised release for three years following the prison term. He was also ordered to pay just over $42,000 in restitution to Johnsonville for the sausage that had to be thrown out. Lane placed a wire connector in a sausage on the processing line. On another occasion he put cigarette paper in a sausage. None of the tampered sausage products left the Johnsonville facilities.

BD Man Robbed Restaurant Across The Street From His Residence

A 35-year-old Beaver Dam man told authorities it didn’t matter to him whether the pizza restaurant he lived across the street from was busy or not when he robbed it. Kyle Rach was high on crack cocaine and looking for a way to pay for more. He threatened an employee of Marco’s Pizza with the use of gun. Rach was sentenced in Dodge County court Thursday to nine additional years in prison. He’s already serving time on past offenses until 2021. The robbery netted him $111.

Sheboygan Police Seek Charges For Hiding Of Overdose Victim’s Body

Police in Sheboygan are seeking charges for a 16-year-old and a 29-year-old woman who hid the body of an overdose victim in the crawlspace of a wall. Thirty-year-old Matthew Mercure died of an overdose on November 18th. Panicked the two hid his body in the crawlspace of a home on Michigan Avenue. Police didn’t find his body on their first visit to the home, but got a tip that it had been hidden.
