The 27-year-old Sussex man who led Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies on a 12-mile high speed chase that extended into Dodge County has been charged. Bond was set at $15,000 cash during Kevin O’Brien’s initial court appearance Thursday. He’s charged with felony counts of second degree recklessly endangering safety, fleeing an officer and bail jumping. There are a number of traffic offenses as well including operating under the influence. A preliminary hearing is scheduled next Thursday. The chase began when a Sheriff’s deputy saw the vehicle going over 100 miles an hour on I-41 near Highway 151 in the Town of Fond du Lac. At one point O’Brien was allegedly going 117 miles an hour. Tire deflation devices were used to slow down his vehicle.
