Grothman Wins A Third Term In Congress

7 November 2018 News

Congressman Glenn Grothman won reelection to a third term representing the 6th Congressional District Tuesday. He received about 55 percent of the vote to Democratic challenger Dan Kohl’s 45 percent. The incumbent Republican says his opponent had a lot of financial backing, but voters stuck to conservative issues. “It’s obviously scary to go into a campaign in which you are going to be out spent so much particularly out spent on TV and you have to worry if people are going to listen to the TV ads or are the going to pay attention to the issues. It was very rewarding that I think the public stuck to conservative issues.” Locally Grothman won in Fond du Lac and Green Lake counties, but lost to Kohl in Winnebago County.
