Man Shot By Beaver Dam Police Officer Identified

Dodge County Sheriff’s officials have released the name of the 35-year-old Beaver Dam man shot by a police officer during a domestic disturbance last Friday. Richard Henke II was shot in his legs. He was treated at Beaver Dam Community Hospital and later transferred to the UW-Hospital in Madison. One officer suffered minor injuries during the call to 510 Walnut Street. The officer that shot Henke was placed on administrative leave. That officer is a 17 year veteran of the Beaver Dam Police Department.
