House Fire In The Town Of Auburn

Fire significantly damaged a home in southeastern Fond du Lac County Thursday afternoon. A passerby saw dark smoke coming from the rear of a residence at N828 County Highway V in the Town of Auburn and pulled into the driveway where they then saw flames coming from the back of the home. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials say the blaze does not appear to be suspicious and appears to be electrical in nature There was significant damage to the lower level of the home. No one was at home at the time of the fire and no one was injured. Kenneth and Shirley Thorn own the property. Campbellsport Fire Department, Campbellsport Ambulance, Campbellsport Police, City of Fond du Lac Fire Department, Eden Fire Department, Kewaskum Fire Department, and RIT Team 3 also assisted on the scene. The time of the fire call was 1:14 pm.
