Vehicle Fire Shutdown Highway 26 Near Rosendale

Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials say a vehicle fire shut down State Highway 26 near Rosendale early Friday morning. Tires on a fuel truck caught fire. That forced the Sheriff’s Office to close down the highway between County Highway C and State Highway 23 for about 90 minutes. Traffic was detoured onto County Highway C. No one was injured during the blaze, which was reported about 5 am.

Slow No Wake Order Remains In Place For Green Lake Waterways

Green Lake County authorities say a “Slow No Wake” order remains in place for Lake Puckaway, the entire Fox River in the County, and Little Green Lake. The Fox River crested on Friday and is expected to level off. The National Weather Service calculates with with anticipated precipitation and saturation levels, the water level will not reach the record levels of 2008.

FDL Young Professionals Donate To Pathway To Hope

The Young Professionals of Fond du Lac raised $2,000 for The Salvation Army of Fond du Lac’s Pathway of Hope program during their 2nd Annual Kickin’ For A Cause Kickball Tournament on Saturday, July 14th at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac. Ten teams participated in this year’s tournament with the Family Focus Eye Care team being named this year’s tournament champions. Pathway of Hope helps families create a brighter future through an intensive case management program that unities community resources to help families with children achieve stability and self-sufficiency. Since the program began in Fond du Lac, 23 families have been enrolled in the program with 75% of those families doubling their income and 57% reporting an increase in hope.

New Role Playing Gaming Group Forming In Ripon

The Ripon Public Library will be hosting a new Role Playing Gaming group on a regular basis. Players will discuss which RPG gaming system will be used to get things off the ground. That meeting is Sunday afternoon at 1 pm at the Library. There will be an opportunity for players to test out a one-shot adventure game with pre-generated characters for those new to RPGs. A gaming schedule will be discussed at the first meeting; however, this group will plan to meet a minimum of once a month for gaming continuity. Ages 13-adult or younger if accompanied by a parent are welcome.
