Drive Sober Or Get Pulled Over

31 August 2018 News

Law enforcement officials are urging motorist to let someone else do the driving if they’ve been drinking this holiday weekend. The “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” enforcement campaign continues through Monday. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Captain Ryan Waldschmidt says state grants they receive help to pay for extra patrols for such efforts. He points out the Sheriff’s Department is just one of the agencies in the County involved in a task force that tries to keep drunken and impaired drivers off the road. Last year in Wisconsin 161 people were killed and more than 3,000 people were injured in alcohol-related traffic accidents. In addition over 24,000 people were convicted of driving drunk.
