Wisconsin Honey Queen Has Benevolent Goal

One of those making a stop at the Waushara County Fair this past Friday was 2018 Wisconsin Honey Queen Hannah Sjostrom. Hannah grew up in the small town of Maiden Rock. Her parents Doug and Kim Sjostrom regularly attended Wisconsin Honey Producers Association meetings so she was familiar with the Wisconsin Honey Queen competition, but when she decided to run for the title it was still a pleasant shock for her mother. In January Hannah will represent Wisconsin at the American Honey Queen competition at the American Beekeeping Federation Convention in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She is a junior at UW-Eau Claire, majoring in nursing. Some day she hopes to work in an oncology department.
