18 April 2025 News

GREEN LAKE, WI, April 14, 2025 —From dinosaurs to drama and cooking to community, Town Square Community Center, located at 492 Hill Street in Green Lake, is launching a summer calendar packed with creative, educational fun for kids of all ages.

This year’s youth programming kicks off with Babysitting & Childcare Training + CPR/AED on Friday, April 26, giving youth ages 11+ a chance to earn a two-year certification in babysitting, first aid, emergency response, and CPR/AED. Summer camps follow in July and August, offering themed programs including:

  • Broadway Music Camp (July 21–25): Kids ages 8–12 will sing Broadway hits, learn choreography, and perform live.

  • Kids in the Kitchen (July 28–30): Young chefs 8+ will build confidence with hands-on cooking and kitchen safety.

  • Art Camp (August 4–7): Kids 9+ will explore art mediums and prep a showcase for the Green Lake Fine Art Show.

  • Art Lab Fridays (June 14–August 15): A free drop-in art session in the MakerSpace, open to all ages every Friday at 2 PM.

Special events include the Learn 2 Fish program on June 12, where kids ages 6+ will get hands-on fishing instruction with a pro angler, and Dino Daze on June 14—a prehistoric party with puppet shows, reptiles, bounce houses, face painting, crafts, and more.

“You can find a variety of experiences for young people in Green Lake,” said Bethann, a longtime volunteer in the MakerSpace. “Town Square has created an environment where creativity, curiosity, and community all come together—and the joy on kids’ faces says it all.”

Town Square also invites young artists and entrepreneurs to showcase their talents this summer. Youth can apply to sell their creations at the Summer Market or enter artwork in the Green Lake Fine Art Show on August 9 & 10.
