Golf Scramble Benefits Dodge County Sheriff’s K9 Program
12 August 2018 News
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is excited to announce that the 8th Annual Dodge County Sheriff’s Office K9 Golf Scramble fundraiser event will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018 at the Beaver Dam Country Club in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Registration is at 8:00 AM with a 9:00 AM shotgun start. Our 2017 outing was a huge success because of the community’s generosity and we can’t wait for you to be a part of this year’s event.
Our annual golf outing is an extremely important fundraising event for our sheriff’s office K9 Teams. Currently, we have two multi-purpose K9s, “Kid” and “Tek” working in the county. Kid and Tek will work on a daily basis conducting searches and detecting illicit drugs, including in our schools, in an effort to keep our local children safe and working towards a drug-free Dodge County. They have also been used to help search for missing at-risk adults and children in our county. All funds raised from this event help to offset the ongoing expenses such as equipment, training and veterinary costs of our K9 teams that have been a community asset since 2011.
If anyone wishes to put a team together to join in on the fun, please go to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office webpage at http://www.co.dodge.wi.gov/…/depa…/sheriff/k-9-golf-scramble or contact Sgt. Joseph Nicholas at jnicholas@co.dodge.wi.us or Deputy Taylor Nehls at tanehls@co.dodge.wi.us.
If anyone wishes to make a cash donation, provide a door prize or sponsor a hole, please contact Sgt. Joseph Nicholas at jnicholas@co.dodge.wi.us or call 920-386-4128.
