3/15/25 Town of Auburn Man Facing Attempted Homicide Charge

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is seeking an first-degree attempted homicide charge against a 39-year-old Town of Auburn man who assaulted his landlord leaving the man near death. The 39-year-old victim was ultimately flown to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. He suffered significant head and brain injuries during the altercation Tuesday afternoon and was medically sedated due to the life-threatening injuries. Sheriff’s officials say their Communication Center got a 911 call just before 5 pm Tuesday from the suspect saying he got into a fight with his landlord and the man was having trouble breathing. During the on-scene investigation detectives discovered evidence and developed probable cause that the caller was the aggressor and responsible for causing the victim’s substantial injuries. The suspect was taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail. Additional charges could be brought against him.
