Pilot Killed In Sheboygan County Crash Identified

Authorities in Sheboygan County have identified the pilot that was killed after crashing into some farm buildings Friday afternoon. Fifty-year-old Martin Tibbitts from Michigan had just taken off from the Sheboygan County Airport when the plane crashed southeast of County Highway O and Meadowlark Road. Two farm hands were injured and about 40 cows were also killed. Authorities say the plane “bounced” in a cornfield before crashing into a barn and calving building. The Sheriff’s Department, Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.
