Berlin Police Save A Life

Berlin Police Chief Dennis Plantz and Officer Chad Krause were recently honored with life-saving pins for saving the life of woman. Christine Steptoe is a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Plantz and Krause resuscitated her and brought her back to life. Plantz says it’s the third time he has saved a life, but each time is special. He says, “Who can sit there and say they gave another person another day of loving and being with their families. I have to say she’s doing well.” Christine gave Plantz and Krause’s wives the life-saving pins at a Police and Fire Commission meeting this month and the wives placed the pins on their husbands. Plantz says he gave Christine a picture of himself and Officer Krause posing with her.
