Ripon Woman Charged For Drug Theft
A 40-year-old Ripon woman suspected of stealing Fentanyl patches, Adderall and Percocet pills from her mother has been charged. Bond was set at $1,000 cash when Jessica Kohnke made her initial appearance in Fond du Lac County Court this week. According to the criminal complaint Ripon Police Captain Troy Damsteegt interviewed Kohnke’s boyfriend at the County Jail. Aaron Cook told Damsteegt Kohnke went into mother’s home on June 9th “to find money.” Cook said she returned about two hours later with the patches and pills. Kohnke is facing felony theft and drug possession charges, and a misdemeanor resisting charge.
Waushara County Sheriffs Forum Tonight
The Wautoma Rotary Club is sponsoring a forum with the three candidates for Waushara County Sheriff tonight. It will be from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Waushara WW II Memorial Building in Wautoma. Rotary President Dr. T.J. Rinaldi says it is an opportunity for the public to meet the candidates and find out more about them. The three candidates are Berlin Police Chief Dennis Plantz, and Sheriff’s Deputies Wally Zuehlke and Lafe Hendrickson. Some issues in the race include ATV use and K9 funding.
Today At The FDL County Fair
It’s a big night for youngsters at the Fond du Lac County Fair. The annual Market Livestock Auction starts at 4:45 pm in the Cow Palace. Animals youth have been raising will be sold to the highest bidders at the auction, a bittersweet moment for those kids. Also today Saving Savannah will have two shows in the Leinie Lodge at 5:30 and 9 pm and at the Grandstand at 7:30 there will be Bull Riding and Barrel Racing.
