Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 23 points in his return after missing six games with a strained calf and the Milwaukee Bucks rallied for a 116-110 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night.
Anteotkounmpo was on a minutes restriction and played just under 24 minutes, leaving for good with 6:27 remaining as the Bucks trailed 101-96. Milwaukee then completed its comeback from a 13-point, fourth-quarter deficit with Antetokounmpo on the bench.
Brook Lopez scored 22 points and put the Bucks ahead for good by converting a three-point play with 3:02 remaining.
Kawhi Leonard had 25 points, James Harden added 24 and Ivica Zubac had 20 points and 15 rebounds for the Clippers, who played without Norman Powell due to knee soreness.
Milwaukee was missing Bobby Portis, who began serving a 25-game suspension after testing positive for the painkiller Tranadol, a violation of the league’s anti-drug program. Portis said he took the Tramadol by mistake.
This was the first time Antetokounmpo played in a game with Kyle Kuzma, Kevin Porter Sr. and Jericho Sims, who were all acquired at the trade deadline. With Portis beginning his suspension, Sims made his Bucks debut and went scoreless in 17 minutes.
The game was tied at 104-all when Lopez blocked a shot from Dunn with less than 3 1/2 minutes left. Lopez then got a three-point play on Milwaukee’s ensuing possession to put the Bucks ahead for good.
The Bucks visit former teammate Khris Middleton when they play at Washington on Friday.

The NBA has suspended Milwaukee forward Bobby Portis Jr. for 25 games without pay because he tested positive for the painkiller Tramadol, a violation of the league’s anti-drug program.
Portis cannot play again until April 8 — the 79th game of Milwaukee’s 82-game regular-season schedule — at the earliest. His suspension starts with the Bucks’ game Thursday against the Los Angeles Clippers.
“I was dealing with an elbow injury and using an NBA-approved medication for pain and inflammation,” Portis said in a statement released by the team. “During that time, I made an honest mistake and took a pain-reducing anti-inflammatory pill that is not approved. I feel horrible and recognize that I’m responsible for what I put in my body.”
Portis took the painkiller “unintentionally,” said his agent, Mark Bartelstein. Portis thought he was taking Toradol, which is approved and is something that he has taken before, Bartelstein said in details first given to ESPN and that he later confirmed to The Associated Press. Portis did not realize that he was taking Tramadol — which was properly prescribed, but is on the NBA’s banned substance list.
Portis, considered one of the league’s tougher players, and a key part of the Bucks’ rotation, is averaging 13.7 points and 8.3 rebounds for the Bucks this season, playing mostly off the bench.
The 30-year-old Portis will lose $2,858,701 in salary because of the suspension, which comes with the Bucks starting post-All-Star break play fifth in the Eastern Conference — one game behind No. 4 Indiana, one game ahead of No. 6 Detroit and 3 1/2 games ahead of No. 7 Orlando.
It’s a blow to the Bucks, who are 21-10 when Portis scores at least 10 points this.
Portis is in his 10th NBA season, having spent half that time with the Bucks. He was part of Milwaukee’s 2021 NBA championship team and played for USA Basketball at the 2023 World Cup in Manila.
He’s one of four remaining players from the Bucks’ championship squad, along with Antetokounmpo, Brook Lopez and Pat Connaughton.

The NFL released renderings of the draft site, the theater and the stage.
The renderings give us a closer look at things like the entrances — one on Lombardi adjacent to Titletown, and one at the intersection of Ridge and Valley View. While there are only two entrances, officials will open several other access points to allow people to leave at the end of each day.
he draft theater will be in the northeast corner of the Lambeau Field campus, on the corner of Lombardi Avenue and Oneida Street. The stage will face Lambeau Field. The viewing area will cover 250,000 square feet, the Packers say.
Features that locals have access to on a regular basis — the Packers Pro Shop and the Lambeau Field Atrium — will also be open to fans during the NFL Draft.
The west side parking lots and the Titletown District will host the NFL Experience. The 800,000-square-foot area will include food and beverage sections, a kids’ Play 60 zone, spots for kicking field goals and running 40-yard dashes and a gallery of NFL exhibits.
While exact capacity numbers inside the entire draft campus haven’t been announced, officials are confident with the campus that’s been set and designed. The campus is larger than Detroit’s, which did reach a capacity limit at different periods throughout the draft in 2024.
There will be two general admission entry gates along Ridge Road. The NFL expects to release more details, including parking and rideshare operations, on its OnePass app.
The Wisconsin Herd, NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, lost to the Capital City Go-Go 113-106.
Henry Ellenson guided the Herd with 24 points while James Akinjo followed with 18 points. Milwaukee Bucks assignment player Chris Livingston provided a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds.
The top scorers for the Capital City Go-Go were Leaky Black, Jalen McDaniels and Taylor Funk with 19 points apiece.
