Ripon Man Injured In Hit And Run Accident

A 47-year-old rural Ripon man was injured after a hit and run incident early Sunday morning in Ripon. Ripon Police say Rick Zwolski was found trapped inside his vehicle with serious injuries. Investigators believe he was heading north on Stanton Street from Scott Street when his vehicle crossed the centerline and struck a legally parked truck. The truck then struck a passenger car directly behind it. Zwolski left the scene heading east on East Jackson Street where his vehicle left the road and struck a culvert. He was taken to the Ripon Medical Center for treatment. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the incident.
