Authorities in Fond du Lac are investigating a vehicle versus pedestrian accident that resulted in serious injuries for a 67-year-old Fond du Lac man Friday evening. Shortly after 6 pm the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Communications Center got multiple 911 calls about the accident in the eastbound lanes of West Johnson Street near Rolling Meadows Drive. A 23-year-old Fond du Lac man was heading east in the left lane of Johnson Street in his SUV. The older man tried to cross both eastbound lanes of traffic on foot when he was struck. He was taken to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s investigators say the driver was not injured and he has been cooperating with the investigation.
