1/26/25 The Sweet Lillies and Adrian + Meredith at Thrasher Opera House

26 January 2025 News

Green Lake, Wis. – The Sweet Lillies along with Adrian + Meredith will perform at Thrasher Opera House in Green Lake, Wisconsin on Friday, February 28th at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the show are $26 and are available at www.thrasheroperahouse.com.

The Sweet Lillies are a collaborative quartet whose heartfelt, genre-blending sound they call “Progressive Americana” defies easy categorization. Formed by multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Julie Gussaroff in 2013, the group comprises Becca Bisque (viola), Dustin Rohleder (guitar), and Jones Maynard (drums). Together, they create powerful narratives in song, blending ethereal harmonies with diverse musical influences, from folk and rock to hip-hop. Their live shows are dynamic, ever-evolving experiences, featuring spontaneous setlists, reimagined songs, and guest performances from celebrated musicians like Sam Bush, George Porter Jr., and Andy Thorn, who described the band as “a genre-bending powerhouse.”

Over the years, the Sweet Lillies have released four albums, including Equality (2023), produced by Grammy-winner Chris Pandolfi, which highlights their evolution and commitment to themes like social justice and self-exploration. Their forthcoming fifth album, Cover to Cover, strips their sound to its core, offering a minimalist homage to songs that resonate deeply with the band. Gussaroff highlights the album’s “starkly exposed beauty,” emphasizing its focus on simplicity and the artistry of the original compositions. Whether through original works or inspired covers, the Sweet Lillies continue to push creative boundaries while staying true to their collective ethos.

Along with The Sweet Lillies will be Adrian + Meredith returning to Thrasher Opera House. Adrian and Meredith, the dynamic duo at the heart of The Adrian and Meredith Band, have grown from their Midwest roots to become a staple of East Nashville’s vibrant music scene and international touring circuits. Along the way, they have formed close bonds with members of iconic acts like Th’ Legendary Shackshakers, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Calexico, and Gogol Bordello—artists who have evolved from heroes to mentors and collaborators.
