12/20/24 Fatal Accident in Waupaca County

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in a fatal crash that occurred in Waupaca County about 10:30 Wednesday night. Sheriff’s officials say it happened on Buelow Road at the intersection of County Highway T in the Town of Lebanon. The preliminary investigation determined the vehicle was heading south on Buelow Road when it failed to negotiate a curve and struck a utility pole. The driver died at the scene. The passenger was flown to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by New London Police, New London Fire Department, Gold Cross Ambulance, ThedaStar, and the County Medical Examiner’s Office.
