12/11/24 Nathan Corduan Running for Berlin City Council

11 December 2024 News

A Berlin man has announced his candidacy for the Berlin City Council hoping to foster a brighter future for the city. Nathan Corduan is running for a seat representing Wards 1 and 7, the same seat former Alderman Luke Dretske occupied before resigning in September. Dretske moved out of the city. Corduan works for Witmer Wood Products as their Business Operations Coordinator. He also serves as Vice Chairman of the Berlin Community Development Authority Board and as a member of the Board of Appeals. He’d like to see the CDA become more effective. He says he decided after speaking to the city council about an effort to remove a nativity scene from Fireman’s Park that the city needs voices like his to fight against government overreach. His platform includes three priority items: enhancing transparency, balancing the budget and defending local values. He and his wife have two sons and are expecting a baby girl by the end of the year.
