Ripon Area School District Superintendent Dr. Mary Whitrock notified the Ripon School Board yesterday that she intends to retire at the end of current school year on June 30th. The notification was via a letter. In it she said, “I wanted to let you know I will be retiring at the end of the school year. I have been in education for over 30 years and have been so fortunate to have Ripon be my final stop. What an incredible district filled with so many incredible people! I feel so blessed to have joined the Ripon Area School District family in 2013. I am so fortunate to work with such a talented and caring Board and staff: and serve such caring and loving families!” The School Board will officially accept her retirement at next Monday’s School Board meeting. The Board will also have a closed session item to discuss the process for selecting the next leader of the Ripon Area School District who would begin July 1st.
