11/7/24 70 Dogs Rescued from Town of Calumet Residence

7 November 2024 News

Late Wednesday morning Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies were asked to do a welfare check at a residence in the Town of Calumet after an unpleasant odor was reported coming from that residence. Deputies attempted contact and found 70 dogs in various stages of neglect. The home was in deplorable condition, requiring significant attention. A judge granted a search warrant. Due to unsanitary and hazardous conditions in the home, the Calumet Fire Department was requested to assist with hazmat equipment. All the dogs were safely removed from the residence and turned over to Eastshore Humane Association in Chilton. They will receive the necessary care and attention to improve their health.

If you would like to help with donations there is a list of items, the Eastshore Humane Association is requesting. That includes Purina Dog Chow, Purina Puppy Chow, Purina Pro Plan Puppy Food, blankets, bowls, and monetary donations. The address for the Eastshore Humane Association is 1100 Park Street, Chilton, Wisconsin 53014. Their phone number is 920-849-2390. (Pictures taken by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office).
