No one was hurt when a vehicle trying to elude Sheriff’s deputies in Fond du Lac County’s Town of Auburn crashed into some headstones in a cemetery. A Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputy tried to pull over a vehicle for speeding on County Highway G near County Highway SS Saturday night at 9:44 pm. The chase lasted 4.5 miles and concluded at the cemetery at the intersection of Youth Camp Road and County Highway S when the 18-year-old Waukesha man driving the eluding vehicle lost control and crashed. EMS evaluated the man and a passenger at the scene and turned them back over to deputies. The Waukesha man was taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail on felony fleeing and eluding charges. Assisting at the scene were Washington County Sheriff’s deputies, the State Patrol, and Kewaskum Fire Department and Ambulance.
