Wautoma 49, Ripon-35-The Hornets Skylar Royston unofficially gained 203 yards on 21 carries and scored four touchdowns to lead Wautoma’s Jordan Perkins also was over 100 yards on the night and scored on a 95 yard interception return for a touchdown in the first quarter to give the Hornets a 14-13 lead.
The Tigers jumped out to a 13-0 advantage on two Nathan Hanson touchdown passes to Declan Dudzinski, the first a 22-yarder and the second from 21 yards out, on their first two possessions. Wautoma then scored the next 42 points before Ripon came back with two fourth quarter touchdown runs from Eric Cumber, the first from 9 yards out and the second from 33. Cumber unoficially rushed rushed for 220 yards on 19 carries. Hanson completed 6 of 13 passes for 102 yards and two scores. Dudzinski caught 4 passes for 73 yards and two touchdowns.
The Tigers had 3 turnovers that led to scores by Wautoma, while the Hornets had one turnover that led Ripon’s second touchdown.
It was Senior Night as the Tigers said goodbye to 12 seniors. Five seniors played their last game for Hornets. Wautoma ended the season on a two-game winning streak to finish at 2-7 overall and 2-5 in the South Central Conference while Ripon finished 1-8 overall and 1-6 in conference play.
