According to multiple reports, the Green Bay Packers have signed a new kicker.
ESPN Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter, NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and Sports Illustrated’s Bill Huber are among the sources reporting that the Packers have signed veteran K Brandon McManus, 33, to a one-year deal.
Schefter says McManus is expected to start for the Packers when the Texans visit Lambeau Field Sunday. He would replace Green Bay’s current rookie kicker, Brayden Narveson, who hashit 12 of 17field goals (71%) so far this season and leads the league in missed FGs.
McManus has kicked in 161 NFL games and made 253 of 311 field goals (81%). He was with the Denver Broncos from 2014-22 and has also spent time with the New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars and Washington Commanders.
In March, McManus signed a one-year contract with the Commanders, but he was released after two flight attendants filed a lawsuit accusing McManus of assaulting them on a team flight when McManus was playing for the Jaguars,NBC’s Pro Football Talk reports.
According to The Associated Press, court documents were filed in late May under pseudonyms and then again in early September — this time using the women’s names, after a judge ruled the lawsuit did not meet the criteria for anonymity. The women alleged that McManus “tried to kiss one of them and rubbed up against both” while they were serving as flight attendants on Jacksonville’s trans-Atlantic flight to England to play a pair of games.
After an investigation, NFL officials announced last month there was “insufficient evidence to support a finding that indicates a violation of the personal conduct policy” which allowed McManus to sign with a new team.
The Packers are back on the practice field today getting ready for the Houston Texans Sunday at Lambeau Field, as Green Bay plays back-to-back home games.
The Packers are 4-2 after last Sunday’s 34-13 win over the Arizona Cardinals, in a game where Jordan Love completed 22 of 32 passes for 258 yards, four touchdowns and one interception, that came when Bo Melon Slipped. Green Bay also rushed for 179 yards , led by Josh Jacobs’ 62 yards on 18 carries.
The Texans rolled over the Patriots in New England, 41-21 Sunday. Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud completed 20 of 31 passes for 192 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Wide receiver Stefon Diggs caught six passes for 77 yards and a touchdown and Joe Mixon rushed 13 times for 102 yards and a touchdown.
The Texans are 5-1 and in first place in the AFC South.

Should Wisconsin’s deer management zones be adjusted?
The state Department of Natural Resources reviews deer management unit boundaries every few years. This review focuses on the units in the Northern Forest Zone, the Metropolitan subunits and the boundary lines between the Forest and Farmland Zones.
The DNR is considering suggestions it received during County Deer Advisory Council meetings and legislative hearings. Three of the suggestions being considered are:
1. Adjusting deer management unit boundaries within the Northern Forest Zone based on habitat type rather than county borders.
2. Reducing the size of the Central Forest Zone (especially in Wood, Adams, Juneau and Monroe counties).
3. Adjusting Metropolitan subunits around the state.
The DNR is taking public comment through Sunday.
