10/9/24 One Injured in Oshkosh Apartment Fire

One person was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a fire at an apartment complex in Oshkosh this morning. Oshkosh Fire Department officials say that a maintenance supervisor and a resident pulled that person from an apartment that was on fire at 1752 Taft Avenue. A few other tenants were checked for smoke inhalation at the scene, but none of them were transported. The fire was contained to the one unit, which sustained heavy smoke and fire damage. The unit above it also had minor damage. Tenants were allowed to return to their apartments with the exception of the two units that were damaged. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The time of the fire call was 7:01 am.
