EARLY MORNING VEHICLE CHASE IN FDL COUNTY

Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 25-year-old Milwaukee man early this morning following a 6.5-mile vehicle chase and subsequent foot pursuit.  A deputy tried to pull over the vehicle for speeding at 12:49 this morning as it was heading south on Interstate 41 near Sales Road in the Town of Eldorado. A deputy and state trooper successfully deployed a stop stick which deflated all four tires on the suspect’s vehicle, but he continued driving it. The vehicle continued heading south on Interstate 41 but decreased its speed and exited at Military Road in Fond du Lac. The driver stopped and took off on foot. He was arrested after a taser deployment. He is charged with fleeing an officer, second degree recklessly endangering safety, resisting an officer, operating a motor vehicle with a restricted controlled substance, marijuana possession, and was placed on a probation hold by the state’s Department of Corrections. He was also cited for several traffic violations. He was taken to St. Agnes Hospital to be evaluated and after that to the Fond du Lac County Jail.
