9/18/24 Former Lomira Fire Chief Arrested

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has arrested former Lomira Fire Chief and Village of Lomira employee Keith Joas on two counts of misconduct in public office and one count of theft. On February 13th the 40-year-old Campbellsport man’s employment with the village was terminated. On February 15th the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation into allegations of theft brought by the village. Joas allegedly used his position to obtain items for personal use using taxpayer funds. Detectives, in collaboration with the Village of Lomira, analyzed financial records, conducted a thorough investigation, and determined that charges were appropriate. (Dodge County Sheriff’s photo).
