8/28/24 Ripon Kiwanis Clubs Named Friends of Public Education
28 August 2024 News
The Ripon Noon Kiwanis and the Early Bird Kiwanis Clubs have been named as the Ripon Area School District’s Friends of Public Schools Award winners for 2024-2025. District officials say the Kiwanis have created many opportunities for children in Ripon. They cite contributions like the Rigg’s County Park Splash Pad; scholarships to local high school students; the Kiwanis Park and Northern trail; the Toy Lending Library at the public library; and the Children’s’ Fair and Clothing Swap. Recently the two clubs partnered to raise funds to build an ADA-compliant all-inclusive playground with 43 features for children ages 5 to 12 years-old. It was a joint service project of the two clubs, in collaboration with Fond du Lac County; the playground was built at Riggs Park, adjacent to the Kiwanis Splash Pad. The playground opened last month. To read more click here.
