8/22/24 Ripon Early Bird and Noon Kiwanis Clubs Thanked for Riggs County Park Playground Efforts

22 August 2024 News

Fond du Lac County Supervisors Tuesday night unanimously approved a resolution thanking the Ripon Early Bird and Noon Kiwanis for their support of the Riggs County Park all-inclusive playground and accepting a $134,000 contribution from the clubs for that project. The resolution also recognized a previous contribution from the clubs in 2017 for a splash pad at the park. Supervisor Mary Hayes commented that the County is lucky to have organizations that are willing to partner and contribute to such efforts. She noted the project came to nearly $300,000 and the Kiwanis clubs paid for nearly half of it. Representatives of both Kiwanis Clubs were on hand to accept copies of the resolution. Ripon Early Bird past president Dan Parks spoke on behalf of the two clubs. He said there are only so many resources available to the county and they could partner with all kinds of organizations and send their funds elsewhere, so they were glad the county chose Ripon and Riggs County Park.
