7/9/24 FDL Woman Killed in Head-On Crash

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of the two drivers involved in a fatal two-vehicle head-on accident Monday afternoon. Sixty-one-year-old Sherryl Lynch of Fond du Lac was killed when her SUV crossed the centerline on Lakeshore Drive and struck a box truck. Several 911 calls reported the accident involving the SUV and a 25-foot long box truck in the Town of Friendship. Lynch was heading north on Lakeshore Drive when her SUV crossed the centerline and struck the southbound truck head-on.  She died at the scene. Fifty-one-year-old David Fuller of Appleton was driving the box truck.  He was treated on the scene for minor injuries and released. The accident was reported at approximately 1 pm Monday afternoon.

A 61-year-old Fond du Lac woman was killed when her SUV crossed the centerline on Lakeshore Drive and struck a box truck Monday afternoon in Fond du Lac County’s Town of Friendship. Several 911 calls reported the accident involving the SUV and a 25-foot long box truck. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials say the woman was heading north on Lakeshore Drive when her SUV crossed the centerline and struck the southbound truck head-on.  The woman died at the scene. The 51-year-old Appleton man driving the box truck was treated on the scene for minor injuries and released. The accident was reported at approximately 1 pm. Sheriff’s deputies, the State Patrol, North Fond du Lac Police, North Fond du Lac Ambulance and Fire Department, Van Dyne Fire Department and Van Dyne First Responders all initially responded to the scene. Also assisting on scene was Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue’s Hazmat Team, North Fond du Lac DPW, and the DNR.
