GREEN LAKE, WI, — Kintsugi is the 400 year old Japanese craft in the mending of ceramics. On Saturday, July 20, instructor Steve Jensen will guide participants through a modern method of this ancient craft. The class is from 9am-12 noon in the MakerSpace at Town Square Community Center, 492 Hill Street in Green Lake.
Steve Jensen is a facilitator from Academy Kintsugi and participants will experience how to repair broken ceramics with gold, transforming flaws into beautiful, unique features, while reflecting on the metaphor of embracing imperfections in life.
“It was so moving working with students in March,” says Steve Jensen, Kintsugi Instructor. “I’m looking forward to guiding students in the art of Kintsugi in July.”
No experience is necessary; attendees will experience the beauty from the brokenness. The class is priced at $95 per student, including all materials. Secure your spot by contacting Steve at (262) 215-6422 or emailing kintsugibysteve@gmail.com.
