6/30/24 Garage Destroyed by Fire in FDL

Fire destroyed a two-car detached garage, its contents, and a truck outside of it early this morning at 567 County Road K in Fond du Lac. Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue Battalion Chief Joe Maramonte says when their fire crews arrived the roof of the garage had already collapsed and a pickup truck next to it was also heavily involved in fire. It took about a half an hour to knock down the blaze, but crews continued to extinguish the fire for another hour due to debris from the collapsed roof. The garage, a vehicle and trailer inside it, and the pickup truck outside of it were a total loss. An ATV and two other smaller garages were damaged by the heat from the fire. No one was injured.
