6/12/24 Winnebago County Fatal Accident Victims Were Children

Two girls, 11-year-old Mesa Fredenhagen and 7-year-old Kennedi Harris of Oshkosh, died of injuries suffered in a fatal crash between their ATV and a passenger car Tuesday afternoon in Winnebago County’s Town of Uttica. The driver of the car a 43-year-old Oshkosh woman and her 13-year-old son who was her passenger began rendering first aid right away. The woman called 911 while rendering first aid. One of the girls died at the scene and the other later at a local hospital. The two were best friends. The crash happened on Bonnie View Road near State Highway 44. The Oshkosh woman has been cooperating with the investigation. She suffered minor injuries in the collision.
