5/28/24 Four Teens Killed in Dodge County Traffic Crash

The Memorial Day weekend was marred by a fatal collision in Dodge County between a pickup truck and semi that resulted in the deaths of four teens. Sheriff’s officials responded to the collision on State Highway 16 and 60 at the intersection of County Highway TT, about 3 miles east of Columbus at 4 am Monday morning. The pickup was heading north on County Highway TT and failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection with State Highway 16 and 60. A semi heading east on State Highway 16 and 60 struck the pickup truck. The 19-year-old Sun Prairie man driving the pickup truck, a 17-year-old Sun Prairie man, and a 16-year-old Madison boy who were passengers in the pickup died at the scene. Another passenger in the pickup truck, an 18-year-old Madison woman, was taken to the UW Hospital in Madison where she died. The 57-year-old La Farge man driving the semi was taken to Prairie Ridge Hospital in Columbus with minor injuries.
