3/26/24 Ripon High School Girls Basketball Team Top Academic All-State

RIPON, Wis. — The Ripon High School is pleased to announce that the Ripon High School
Girls’ Basketball team is recognized as a 2024 Academic All-State Team by the Wisconsin
Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA). With a cumulative grade point average of 3.986, the
team is not only at the top of their division but has achieved the highest average in the entire
state.
The WBCA recognizes teams who have achieved great success in the classroom and who
were nominated by member coaches. Ripon High School Assistant Principal and Athletic
Director Vincent Propson comments, “I am so proud of the RHS Girls Basketball team’s
accomplishment in earning the academic all-state award, especially earning the award as the
top team in the state. This achievement truly reflects the dedication and hard work not only of
the student-athletes but also of their parents, Ripon’s teaching staff, Ripon’s coaching staff, and
all of the support personnel. It’s a testament to Ripon High School’s commitment to excellence
both on and off the court.
This award highlights the importance Ripon High School places on academic success and the
holistic development of student-athletes. By prioritizing their education alongside their athletic
pursuits, students are empowered to excel in all aspects of their lives. This recognition serves as
motivation for the entire Ripon Community to continue fostering an environment where
academic achievement is celebrated alongside athletic prowess.

performance in the classroom and on the court. Their hard work, discipline, and determination
