The Milwaukee Bucks six-game winning streak came to an end Wednesday at Golden State as the Warriors dominated the Bucks 125-90. Step Curry led Golden State with 29 points.
The Bucks were led by Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 23 points while Damian Lillard and Bobby Portis Jr. each scored 20.
Milwaukee (41-22) remains in second place in the Eastern Conference, a half-game ahead of the Cavaliers and 8 games behind the Boston Celtics.
The Warriors (33-28), are ninth in the Western Conference, 9 games behind the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Bucks continue their 4-game road trip Friday night in Los Angeles against the Lakers.
In Cactus League Baseball on Wednesday the Brewers beat the Reds 2-0. Milwaukee managed 8 hits while Cincinnati had just 5. The Brewers scored a run in the first and another in the 5th and made it hold up. Bryse Wilson (1-0) started and pitched 3 scoreless innings while giving up just one hit to pick up the victory.
Cleveland starter Brandon Williamson pitched 4 innings, giving up 1 run on 4 hits while striking out 4 and walking none.
The Brewers play the White Sox today with the first pitch at 1:05.
In men’s college basketball Wednesday night, #2 UConn won at Marquette 74-67. The Huskies improved to 27-3 overall while the #8 Golden Eagles fell to 22-8.
Marquette was led by Kam Jones with 18 points and Oso Ighodaro who had 16. Alex Karaban led UConn with 23 points.
Marquette plays at Xavier on Saturday. In men’s college basketball tonight, Wisconsin is back in action hosting Rutgers. Tipoff is at 6:00 from the Kohl Center. Wisconsin is 5th in the Big Ten with a 10-8 conference record and is 18-11 overall. Rutgers is 7-11 in the Big Ten and 15-14 overall.
