GREEN LAKE, WI, — Dive into a world of creativity and compassion at the MakerSpace in Town Square Community Center, located at 492 Hill Street, Green Lake. Open to people of all ages, this free community crafting space is open Monday – Friday 9 am – 5 pm and Saturdays 9 am – 1 pm. Whether you’re an artist, a hobbyist, or someone looking to explore new crafts, the MakerSpace is your go-to spot for unleashing your creativity.
New to the MakerSpace this year, the Kindness Corner offers a chance to spread cheer to the community, with activities changing each month. The project this month was inspired by the beautiful barn quilts that are on display in the lobby gallery. Community members are invited to design their very own kindness quilt, as well as other fun kindness spreading activities.
“Seeing the Kindness Corner become a community-wide project has been incredibly rewarding,” says Jina Quade, Town Square Community Center Event Coordinator. “It’s a testament to the universal appeal of kindness and creativity, bringing our community together in a meaningful way.”
The MakerSpace will host Steve Jensen as he leads a Kintsugi class on March 16 from 9 am – 12 pm. Participants will learn the elegant art of repairing broken ceramics with gold, transforming flaws into beautiful, unique features, while reflecting on the metaphor of embracing imperfections in life. The class is priced at $95 per student, including all materials. Secure your spot by calling (262) 215-6422 or emailing kintsugibysteve@gmail.com.
