30 September 2018 News

A 50-year-old hunter got lost in the Eldorado Marsh Saturday night. The hunter called 911 shortly before 7:30. Fond du Lac County Communications Center used GPS to pinpoint his location, which was about a third of a mile from the dead end of Hageman Road. Sheriff’s deputies were able to reach him by phone and located him north of the Mascoutin Trail and east of the dead end. He had no means of navigation to help him find his way out. Sheriff’s officials remind hunters to always know the environment they plan to travel into. They also urge have the proper safety, emergency, and survival gear.
