2/23/24 Two Dead in Winnebago County Traffic Crash

Two men are dead the result of a two-vehicle accident on Green Valley Road south of Nee Vin Road in Winnebago County’s Town of Vinland Thursday night. At 7:47 pm the County’s 9-1-1 call center got a call from a passerby about the serious accident. Sheriff’s officials say when deputies and first responders arrived the driver in one vehicle, a 53-year-old Town of Neenah man, was dead. The other driver, a 35-year-old Oshkosh man, was taken to a local hospital where he died. Green Valley Road was shut down for about 4 ½ hours. Sheriff’s deputies, the State Patrol, Neenah Police, Gold Cross Ambulance, Town of Vinland firefighters and first responders, Town of Oshkosh firefighters, and the County Medical Examiner responded to the scene.
