2/15/24 Person of Interest Taken into Custody in FDL Death Investigation

Fond du Lac Police have arrested a person of interest in the death of a 33-year-old West Bend woman who died after her car went off a street Tuesday, struck some landscaping bricks, and ended up atop a cluster of bushes. Ashley Ann Calo died later at St. Agnes Hospital. Wednesday afternoon with the help of West Bend Police, 20-year-old Annaka Winter Trudell was taken into custody without incident in West Bend. Police say although that is a significant development, the investigation remains ongoing. They also thanked the community who shared a social media post, and provided tips and information within an hour of when they posted a photo of Trudell who they identified as a person of interest in Calo’s death. A felony warrant had been issued for her arrest. (Fond du Lac Police photo).
