Fire extensively damaged a home at 390 Tompkins Street in Fond du Lac Tuesday morning. When firefighters arrived heavy fire was showing from the front and the rear of the single-family home. It took about three hours to bring it under control due to void spaces in the residence where the blaze was difficult to put out. Everyone residing in the house was able to escape without injury. Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue officials are investigating the cause of the fire. The Red Cross is assisting the family, which was displaced by the fire. The time of the fire call was 9:12 am.
