Milk Truck Driver Dies From Medical Condition While Driving

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department has released the name of the milk truck driver who drove into a cornfield off County Highway AS Monday afternoon after suffering a medical condition. CPR was started at the scene, but 56-year-old August Neubauer of Berlin died. A passerby called 911 after seeing the milk truck which traveled about 40 yards into the cornfield on the north side of the road. The accident west of State Highway 49 was reported at 2:13 Monday afternoon. Life Star Ambulance and the Brandon-Fairwater Fire Department also responded to the scene.

Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials say a milk truck driver died while suffering a medical condition that caused him to drive off County Highway AS and into a cornfield Monday afternoon. The driver was identified as a 56-year-old Berlin man. The truck went about 40 yards into the cornfield on the north side of the road. A passerby noticed the milk truck and called 911. CPR was started at the scene, but the driver died. Also responding was Life Star Ambulance and the Brandon Fairwater Fire Department. The accident west of State Highway 49 was called in at approximately 2:13 pm.
