1/12/24 FDL Man Found Guilty of Murder

12 January 2024 News

Following a four-day trial a Fond du Lac County jury Friday found  33-year-old Timothy Brown of Fond du Lac guilty of first degree intentional homicide with a dangerous weapon and felon in possession of a firearm. Brown was charged with the August 20th, 2022 shooting death of 40-year-old Brian Johnson. According to the criminal complaint the two men were at a bar early that morning and got into an argument. Brown shoved Johnson and shortly afterward they left the bar. Surveillance video and audio indicate four shots were fired in a minute’s time. The shots were fired at close range. Police were able to recover clothing Brown wore that night and match Johnson’s DNA to a red stain on Brown’s shoes. Judge Tricia Walker revoked Brown’s bond, ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set a sentencing date of May 17th. District Attorney Eric Toney says, “Our hearts go out to the family and friends of Brandon Johnson and our sincere gratitude to the jury for their time and attention during this jury trial.”
