Manitowoc Police Release Names Of Those Involved In Deadly Shooting
Manitowoc Police have released the names of those involved in an officer involved shooting last Sunday. Officer Fielder Clark shot and killed 25-year-old Bruce Smith of Manitowoc after a confrontation between the two. Smith was holding a blunt object. Clark and fire department personnel were responding to a fire alarm at an apartment complex. The State Justice Department’s Division of Criminal Investigation is investigating the shooting. Clark has been placed on administrative leave. He’s been with the department 3 1/2 years and prior to that spent six years in the Marine Corps.
Names Of Sheboygan Residents Killed In Crash Released
Police in Sheboygan have released the names of the two drivers killed in a crash at 14th and Pennsylvania Avenue Tuesday. Fifty-six-year-old Daniel Wilson was driving an SUV west on Pennsylvania at a high rates of speed. He failed to stop at a traffic light at 14th and ran into a car being driven by 49-year-old Jeanna Radley. Both were Sheboygan residents. They died in the crash. No one else was injured.
Prostitution Arrest At Clyman Strip Club
Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt caught two people engaging in the act of prostitution while he was doing a routine check at the Hardware Store Gentlemen’s Club in Clyman Thursday. The dancer, a 25-year-old Milwaukee woman, and the customer a 64-year-old Columbus man were arrested on prostitution charges. In August Village of Clyman officials adopted an ordinance with a demerit system that could lead to suspension or revocation of a liquor license for any business that fails to follow the law. Federal officials previously charged 45-year-old Christopher Childs of Hartford with sex trafficking for forcing four women to dance at the strip club and perform sex acts for money he kept.
FDL Reads Program Driving Miss Norma
The Fond du Lac Reads program this fall will feature a book that teaches us that you have to make the most of your life while you have time. The book “Driving Miss Norma: One Family’s Journey Saying Yes to Living.” It’s about a 90-year-old widow who finds out she has uterine cancer and sets off on a cross country journey across the U.S. in a 36-foot motor home tackling her bucket list along the way. Norma made the journey with her son Tim, his wife Ramie and their dog Ringo. Tim and Norma wrote the book and will give presentations on it on Tuesday, October 2nd at 1 and 6 pm at the Fond du Lac Public Library. Fond du Lac Reads is an annual program that focuses on one book for discussion and programming in October.
