12/5/23 Arson Charges Brought Against Beaver Dam Man

A 39-year-old Beaver Dam man is facing arson charges for allegedly setting a residential fire in the 1100 Block of Madison Street in the Town of Beaver Dam on November 16th. Bond was set at $100,000 cash for Francis Benson when he made his initial appearance in Dodge County court Monday. He is charged with arson of a building, burglary, two counts of first degree recklessly endangering safety, and felony bail jumping. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office investigated last month’s fire with the help of the Beaver Dam Fire Department and the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation. A preliminary hearing is scheduled in the case on January 11th. (Dodge County Jail photo).
